“Strolling the Wicker Park neighborhood event ‘Meet Me on Milwaukee’ this past weekend, where a stretch of Milwaukee Ave was closed to car traffic, was the perfect way to spend a sunny October Sunday afternoon! There was an awesome jazz/funk band I’d never seen before with a great name, The Count Basics, that provided the perfect soundtrack to it all, fittingly playing an instrumental version of the old song "Spooky!"”
The Old Town Art Fair takes place on Saturday, June 13 and Sunday, June 14, 2026 in the heart of the charming Old Town Triangle Historic District. There will be 200+ nationally acclaimed artists, an estimated 35,000 art lovers, a Garden Walk, Live Music, Food Court and Children’s Corner. Gates open Saturday 10:00 am to 7:00 pm and Sunday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, rain or shine.

Mark your calendars for an event like no other! On the last Sundays of August, September, and October, Milwaukee Ave will be closed to automobile traffic between the North/Damen Intersection and Ashland from 10 AM - 4 PM to encourage neighbors to get out and explore! Hang out with us in the street, listen to live music, and shop and dine up and down Milwaukee as your favorite local businesses will be setting up shop on the sidewalks!
